I had a fantastic stay on the historic ship, Hotel Barken Viking. The rooms were cozy with modern amenities like bedside electrical outlets. The harbor was easily accessible on foot, with a covered pedestrian bridge leading to a shopping mall. Walking around the harbor to see the boats and opera house was delightful. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast offered a standard Scandinavian spread with fun additions like lemon ginger shots.
Can recommend this hotel.

Fantastic ship moored very close to main street - 5 minutes walk to shops and only 10 minutes from rail/ bus station. Very modern and rooms a good size for a ship. Good value for this kind of luxury and experience. Friendly staff.

We had a fantastic stay at Barken Viking - the ship itself is just beautiful! The receptionist was friendly and helped us with a smooth room change. The cleaners even prioritized our new room, ensuring it was ready on time. The location is perfect, with the central station, shopping center, and city center all within walking distance. The breakfast had a good selection, including gluten-free and dairy alternatives. we were impressed with the marine atmosphere and the clean, cozy room. 🚢
Couldn't find any faults at all! 👌

Very good experience staying in a real clipper, in a traditional wooden cabin very "maritim" deco, confortable bed, clean room and bath, breakfast delicious and the staff was professional and helpful. Would sure come back in summer with my son !
The restaurant and bar were closed for the 2 nights I stayed. Check-out time is very early - 11:00 - eventhough I asked for a delay and I got it

The location of the hotel was incredibly convenient, with easy access to the opera house and a nearby shopping mall. the train and bus stations were also within close proximity, making it very convenient for transportation. the breakfast provided at the hotel was delicious, with a good variety of options to choose from. the staff at breakfast were friendly and welcoming, adding to the positive experience.
There were a few aspects of the hotel that could have been improved. the check-in process was a bit confusing and there was a lack of clear instructions.

Very unusual and in a perfect location so close to the city centre. Good food - mainly fish ! - and friendly staff. They keep the ship in excellent condition.
I think the cabins, whilst quite large & kept on a nautical theme, were not quite as good as the overall standard of the ship suggests. The portholes were all sealed shut, so no window opened for bentilation & there were no minibar or tea or coffee making facilities. It was still enjoyable & I would stay there again if I returned.
